OS sturgeon (keepers added)
« on: July 14, 2013, 11:32:43 AM »
Went for keepers yesterday,  instead we hooked three oversize and landed two one eight footer and this ten.  It jumped twice right when I hooked it, then it turned and made about a 150 or 200 yard run before we could even unhook from the anchor.  We were able to land it a half mile down the river after a 20 to 30 minute fight.

That is a BEAST of a fish!  I haven't been sturgeon fishing in several years, I really need to fix that problem.  They are an amazing fish.

Swimming with it wasn't planned, it knocked me in while I was holding it.  So I figured while I was down there I might as well take a couple photos.  :chuckle:

Nice! I love sturgeon fishing.
