Some more fun ways to confuse the situation.

If you drop a rock on the slope, and it rolls in a northerly direction, you're on a north facing slope.
If you drop a rock on the slope, and it rolls in a southerly direction, you're on a south facing slope.
If you drop a rock on the slope, and it just keeps on dropping, you're in the Mill Creek Watershed.

Ok that was the simplest way to get an answer, I wasnt sure If it was the slope going up toward north, or the side on north. Thanks for keeping it simple.

If your facing North and there is a mountain slope blocking your view, your on the wrong slope.

So wait a min.  If I am facing into the sun on what I think is a north facing slope, but my left boot keep getting untied which makes me turn around, am I facing south on a north facing slope or am I still facing the direction the slope points towards?  :dunno:

I understood you babe...

If you are walking up a slope, towards north (following a compass) and you are physically "facing" north - is that "north facing slope"? (no)

It is when the slope is on the north side, regardless of how YOU are "facing", then that is a "north facing slope".

Now that the north thing is figured out can we define what constitutes a slope?
