Better plan B a national forest hunt, Weyco doesn't give a damn about bowhunters they haven't for years. Bowhunters don't kill enough elk, compared to rifle and muzzle, to affect tree damage. :twocents:

No traceable rain for the month of July, shoot, I think they will lock it down. I've got a Hancock pass, I'm expecting them to close that at some point.

temps are dropping back into the low 70s next week which will help. also looks like we might be getting some moisture to move thru. my fingers are crossed for a few rainy days between now and sept.

Wonder how they will handle the permits?

you must think they care
not
If they want to close it its closed and your done

Don't care if they care but don't think thy do.  I think the backlash if people eat permit soup  will be good.  My expectations are to fill my cow tag on DNR land.

The almanac for this September and October says mild weather and rainy.  last years almanac was on the dot with it's prediction.  HOT! HOT! HOT!

30% humidity is the magic number.  When it starts getting down around/below there we'll start seeing the closures.

Keep you eye on this plus humidity at or below 30%.  Level 4 not getting in on any industrial tree farm.  Level 3, most likely not getting in.  Level 2 theres a chance eather way.

Hancock closes as of "the night of August 8th". That must mean I can swap cards on my cam before the sun goes down today. Didn't we get some rain last weekend?

Went out last night to check the spot I was going to go opening weekend and there it was,  NO PUBLIC ACCESS DO TO HIGH FIRE DANGER.  When they put it up, they post it in all of Weyco lands
