Rocky Brand Gear?
« on: July 23, 2013, 05:19:59 PM »
Who out there has or does use Rocky brand gear. It seems now that 85% of the clothing/shoes I have now are Rocky brand. The price is fair and It seems like it will work decent.
I cant afford Sitka or anything Fancy just yet. I figure I might as well learn to HUNT first.
What kind of articals of clothing do u have? L1-L3?

You can learn to hunt in normal back yard clothes. Nothing special really needed. I learned in cotton, denim, and unlined leather boots. Not what I would use today, but shot a few deer this way....

Don't feel that you need to get all decked out in matching camo stuff. To be honest with you, I have chased more and shot more as I wear carhartt bib overalls and flannel shirts. Do I have nice camo gear today, years years later? Yes.

I understand you are talking bow hunting, but I feel you just need to break up your profile, and this can be done with low end gear.

I like Rocky boots.  They used to make some boots that were basically football cleats with insulation.  They were warm, light and very quite in the woods.  Unfortunately they don't make them any more.

As far as clothes go, just get some wool.  It is much better then anything else on the market and much cheaper.
