Everett area fishing charter recommendations?
« on: July 30, 2013, 05:20:14 PM »
Looking to do a private charter for 6 of us. All in mid 20's.

We all are in/around the everett area and I don't really want to drive down to westport.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Looking at august 16th as the best date.

Salmon is a plus but bottom fishing is fun as well.

Thanks

I don't think you'll find a bottom fishing charter in the sound right now, only during ling cod season. But for salmon give All-Star charters with Gary Krein and Nick Kesterwith a try. They may be booked solid though. The other guy I would reccomend would be Mark Coleman of All-Waters guide service but he may be doing the tuna thing out of Westport now. Good luck!

You will want to look at charters out of Westport or further south in Illwaco.  Their is a salmon charter out of Anacortes, but the bottom fishery is closed in the area.  It's open in B.C. If you want to do the drive.

Ended up going with AAA charters. Captain had to call me back 2 times because they hooked a fish.

The Gratitude is cool old boat, 32’ Grandy I believe.  Kind of slow but very stable.   You should have fun.
