binocular harness

which harness do you guys use? I have heard some good things about it. I am wondering whether it makes  big differeence.

I use one basically the same as this one, but I can't remember who makes the one I have (its at home, I'm at work). They are very nice. I can't even tell my binos are there, and it keeps them close to your body instead of swinging around.

Grab the first one off the isle at Joes, Cabelas, or Sportsmans.  Market price is about $10-15.  You'll be amazed at how much more secure you binos feel and the break it gives your neck after a long day of hunting.

Look at the Nimrod bino harness, made by a local company ( Leavenworth I think ) and a good product. Only part of it has the elastic so it will last longer. Been using mine for three years vs. one year on my crooked horn harness.

I also have Nimrod, good product.  I have a day pack from them also that I love.  Just ordered another pack for their system that you can add on to the base system.  They are out of Cashmere. www.nimrodpacks.com

I have binocular harness and I love it. It keeps it from swinging around. the only problem is when someone doesn't have binos and they want to use yours, you get up close and personnal with that person.

I have one, tried it, HATE IT. binds me up, too hard to use unless sitting or standing. prone and in awkward postions it sucks. I carry calls and a range finder around my neck. The Binos now go on about a 4 foot long strap around neck and left arm, WAY COOL, I love it.

I use the Swarovski Bino harness that I got when I got my Swarovski's.  Pretty much the same as the Cabela's ones, or tarantula one, or nimrod or Crooked Horn.  They are all alike... I wouldn't go anywhere without it that's for sure!

+1 on the Nimrod harness. The nice thing about the nimrod harness is that it also has quick disconnects so you can keep the harness on and just squeeze the disconnect on each side if someone needs to use you Binos. The solid upper strap is really nice so the dont bounce as much as the other bino systems. Comfort is awesome also.

I have the Crooked Horn system and like you don't like it around me all the time but the nice thing is if you streach out all the buckles it can be just a neck strap like your talking about over your head and one arm through and they stay right on your hip then just sling them around front when you need em and you can still use the full nelson format if you wish !!!

Would never go out in the woods without one!  After I got one, I wondered how I made it all those years without one!  Can be restricting at times, but not too bad to overcome.  The newer onse have hooks that you can disconnect in a heartbeat to remove the binos.
May need to look into the Nimrod one though.  I have one Cabela's model and one Crooked Horn.  Only diference is the wording on the leather patch and the connection to the binos.

Sportsmans has one for about $15 that is Camo and very comfortable

How are these when combined with a daypack or hydration pack?  I want one, but I'm worried that putting my camel back on over the top might prevent me from using the binos.
