Maybe if I beat that curl out with a hammer the boat won't shake so much.

how'd it go out there last night guys?  Might try north of Everett near Kayak over the weekend. They likely aren't there yet but, it's where the boat is.

It was a little rough out there - didn't fish the regular areas, went exploring where the water was a little calmer.  Caught no pinks...

Ouch.   FWIW, Prop Shop in Mukilteo is good, but a little pricey.

Shipwreck yesterday morning (Aug. 9th)...

Crappy cellphone pic, but there was a good 25-30 boats out there!  Couldn't get very many in one pic though...

We missed on 2 hits, and that's all the action we had in 5 hrs of fishing.  Saw 3 landed on other boats, and the fish counter gal at the launch said there were 40ish so far for the day.  I hope the numbers are better today for the Salmon for Soldiers guys!!!

We went 0-4 or 5....   :bash :bash: :bash: :bash:

We took a gamble and ran south for big fish , but it just didn't pan out, so we booked back to Possession and hit a few, but just unbuckled near boat...

Fishing this weekend should be madness. I don't know about everyone else but the pinks I'm catching are already showing sign of coloring up. We are catching them from 40 feet down in the morning to 120-150 when the sun is up. We are fishing the deeper water.....trolling 100 down in 400-500 out from shipwreck, humpy hollow, and browns bay. I'm have the best look with a standard white dodger and hoochie. Flashers fished next to dodgers just aren't getting hit for me. I've seen other boats as well as my own lose more fish than landed. Lighten that drag and keep the fish in the water. Less thrashing on the surface, sharp fresh smaller diameter hooks, and a steady retrieve should bring more fish boatside. Make sure you are safe and lega as enforcment is out in full. I've been checked twice now and have passed just fine.

I'll be out Sat and Sun....see you out there.

On Saturday we went 4 for 5 in the Salmon for Soldiers Event. Deeper water 300 - 350 feet and 55 feet on the downriggers was the magic numbers. White dodgers, the old standby was the ticket.

TRolled all morning until 100 in the afternoon. Ship wreck, Humpy hollow, deep water, shallow water, from 25 feet to 70 and only 2 hits. 11" flasher with a pink mini squid. Nothing to show for it. Only saw 1 net out...hopefully getting closer to the weekend will bring more success.......I hope

60 ft was the magic number for our boat

Going back out Thursday, Friday and the weekend. Hopefully it picks up. Here's hoping I didn't take the wrong week for my vacation
