While charging the battery.

Does it automatically shut off when it is fully charged?

Gonna be crowded everywhere. Most are paitent. Just let the guy below you cast first.

There are a few areas that you can get away a little.  But you will be standing in deep water.
Yeah there's a spot down the road near the cannery and houston RD in puyallup, u park on the side of the road and walk down the gravel road a ways, then walk down whatever trail u want that leads down to the river. if you walk to far its the populated spot behind the guys gate that everyone pays 100$ for a key to, if you go about half way there, u can cut down to the river to water about chest deep and fish, not many people there. a Netter is required though.

THe battery is charging in the camera.

Is the camera smart enought to stop charging the battery after the battery is fully charged?

I have a battery that came with the camera.

Is there GoPro batteries that allow for more recording?

Ohh yeah, It will charge one of two ways when hooked up to a USB.
1. It will charge and JUST a red light will stay on - Once its fully charge, that red light will turn off.
2. There will be a wired looking file transfer icon on the screen, and the red light may or may not be on. That is kinda for data transfer, It will shut off once its charging full.

There are better batteries through "Wasabi Battery" that are a 1400 mAh rating instead of the Gopro's standard 1100 mAh rating. That means it holds more of a charge, and it holds it longer.
I prefer my wasabi batteries over the stock Gopro battery.

This link is to those batteries, $19.99 for two extra batteries and a wall charge (which is awesome if you don't have a computer around)

Btw, for 720 and 1080p resolution. a 32gig class 10 sd card is recommended. I smaller (lower rated class, like a class 4) will work but it wont be as good of quality. The higher class cards have a higher mbs writing speed and work much better. You can find one for around $28 at walmart or probably cheaper online.

I just like being able to have extra batteries, It gives me almost 20 hours of recording without having to recharge.

I turned off WIFI so that will save battery.

I will also battery BackPack or what ever that is...

That should allow me to run the camera for two hours while fishing so the darn thing wont go into the 1 min mode.

You shouldnt need the battery backpack, You should be able to get 2-4 hours off one battery. Sometimes It just glitches, You can use one button mode for when your fishing, That way if you hook a fish, you just press the shutter button on top and it turns on and starts recording without fideling with it. Chest mount is your best bet. Head mounts ok to but Its bouncy.

Just shoot me a pm with anyone questions so we dont totally ruin this thread  :chuckle:
