Margaret Cow Tag
« on: August 07, 2013, 11:06:51 AM »
My dad and I pulled the early Oct. Margaret Cow muzzleloader cow tag and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right directions as for as roads to park at or areas to hike in from (I assume it is a gated unit) as I want to do some scouting. Thanks for your advice and tips, Brad

Weyco used to give a pass out for access for those permits

I'll have to check into that. Do you know if there is a specific number or department you call to find out about the permit? Thanks

Had bull permit last year aand no pass was given. Fire danger is what will keep you out of that side.

Your best bet is to call the weyco Longview office and ask them all those questions. I know in the past for the toutle unit they have given out keys during fire danger season to the tag holders. also I have camping available very close to the unit if you're interested

If it's like last year, the WDFW will send you a packet of info a couple weeks before your hunt with access information and rules.

Also drew antlerless cow tag this year. There is access on the eastside of the unit if weyerhsuser closes. Do a search on here and you will find more info.

Buy a Weyco map.  Shows every access point you could want

Hey Griz,

Sent you a PM.  I could use a pointer or two for my late season cow tag in that unit.
