a buddy wants to kill a bear really bad.  i've shot enough, so am just a second pair of eyes.  thinking Kalispell peak area.  anyone do any good around there?  mid-september-ish.  are huckleberries still on at that time?

Tag. Uncle has a moose tag and i will be along for the hunt with a bear tag in my pocket

Yes the hucks are still on.   I eat a lot of them when I am chasing moose the first of October.

hucks in ferry last weekend at 4,000 ft were drying up already

They really like those thimble berries that grow along the roads.

those were just starting to get ripe up there

One of the biggest food sources now in Ferry are the Hall Berries.   They will tap those heavy now until they dry up about the second week of September.
