Tiger Mountain
« on: August 14, 2013, 03:11:19 PM »
Does anyone know if the south side of highway 18 by Tiger mountain legal to hunt? I think it might be Weyerhaeuser land, but not sure. I'm using a modern firearm to hunt with.

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

The link above didn't work for me so sorry if this is duplicate info...

"south" side of hwy 18???  Hwy 18 runs N/S for the most part. However, WEST of Hwy 18 is firearm restricted.
Take up your bow, a quiver full of arrows, head out to the country and hunt some wild game.  GEN 27:3

Parts are legal but much is watershed and closed to hunting.

Hey Thanks H20Hunter and Buckmark. That helped a lot. I live right by the trail entrance and that thread looked to me like it is okay to hunt there. The watershed is marked and fenced. You can't get into it Bob33. So I'm not worried about getting into the watershed.

Find the poo....then find the food....then find the bear....then shoot said bear and tell us all about it.

Good luck and be safe.

Highway 18 runs mostly E/W. Not sure what highway you are thinking of.

You need a new compass :chuckle:, 18 in the area you are talking about runs N/S, or better yet N/E or S/W depending which way you are traveling. Stay on the east side of 18 (Taylor Mountian, oh yes i did)

Yep you will be fine, and by staying below 18 it is much easier hiking as your are south or traveling down, if you hike north it is much harder because you will be hiking up..

By hiking up, do you mean north facing slopes?
