I wanted to go out fishing for pinks from a dock. Probably at dash point. I have never done this, not 100% sure what I will need/expect. Any info would be great.

Long spinning rod, medium buzz bomb, pink of course, change the hook out to single....cast, jig it back, repeat.

And look behind you when casting.....lots of folks will walk right up....if room use a big underhand cast to avoid ripping off anyones ear.....
