gas and yakima elk
« on: October 23, 2008, 03:14:09 PM »
Gas prices coming down must be stimulating the economy.  I ahven't seen this many campers since the glory days in the Methow.  Alot of beer and whiskey is going to get drank tonight.

SOOO much beer and whisky that many won't get up or will feel too sick to hunt. :chuckle:

Drove down HWY 410 from Cliffdell to Yakima and thought it was Memorial Weekend!! WOW' Bumper to bumper RV's heading to elk camp. Impressive and scary at the same time. Makes me want to wear orange all the time. Even to bed!

I know of quite a few people heading out or have already set up camp on the east side and they all say it's gonna look like a sea of pumpkins or look like a bunch of that nasty candy corn crap some call candy running around all over the place.  Be safe all, be aware, and keep your ears and eyes on, we dont want anyone to make the headlines for any reason but a great kill or experience!  Good Luck!

Won't be seeing my rig going up Hwy 12 this year. Decided not to elk hunt this year. Kinda didn't want to be hunting with ex partners that decided to put in for the bull tags with the new brother-in-law and left me out. They drew and I didn't. Their hunting 360 and only seeing cows last report for one guys wife. Got 8 Pt's. Next year I'll get my tag and hunt alone. Sneaking the doghair were ya can't see 30yards. Little grass pockets, Lotta hands and knees glassing!
Take a kid hunting or fishing, Pass it on, it's not yours to keep!
