Dave we need a gun friendly sticker.

Boycott Seattle.
If they loose busniess and relationships they might get a mayor worth a dime.

Hey, if the Dave Workman that started this thread is the same one I heard discussing this on the radio this AM, then HATS OFF TO YOU, SIR.

You came across as very well reasoned and articulate, which always makes it harder for them to paint you as a gun toting neanderthal.

Hmmmmmm????

I must be doing something wrong, then.

Thx for your generous remark.  Now back to knuckle-dragging.

Eyes wide shut: McGinn-spin sputters with Van Susteren

Anti-gun Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn admitted during an interview Friday night with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren that “If someone is determined to come in (to a business) with a gun, decal or no decal, that’s going to happen.”

One of my sales guys is a liberal and thinks McGinn is a moron. I don't think he'll survive another election. Is there any evidence anywhere to back up his claim that disputes have turned into gun battles because of people carrying firearms? I don't remember hearing a single incident like this.  :dunno:

I secretly hope that one of these places is robbed - no injuries - and they realize the calamity of their failed effort. I guess this post makes it not such a secret though, huh? I seriously doubt Starbucks will be robbed today. When I was in there for the second time this AM, there were more than 10 open carries. All nice folks, all behaving.

Don't know where the antis keep getting the idea that concealed carry guys are out looking for old west showdowns with each other.  The guys that carry illegally/with criminal intent are going to bring them in to the 'Gun Free Zones' anyways, might as well let the legal guys carry them too.   :dunno:  For as smart as liberals try to pride themselves to be this one issue tends to really negate that.

I would like to know how many times in the last 20 years, a verbal argument in a Seattle business, escalated to the point where a legal firearm authorized civilian, used his gun to kill someone other than in self defense.

Someone should pose this question to Mayor McCheese the next time he spouts off with unsubstantiated speculation. :twocents:

It seems that there may be concentrations of liberal “progressives” in Washington that are intoxicated with their power to dictate to the rest of the citizens in this state.  People are no different today than they were in the time of Nazi Germany with the persecution and discrimination against the Jews or in the times of racial discrimination against blacks in parts of the southern United States.  We are seeing the same kind of “social bigotry” and discrimination now in the areas where these liberal “progressives” are imposing their will or influencing those that are afraid to push back or can’t recognize the negative social implications of their actions as they wage their war against honest, law-abiding gun owners.  Perhaps the term “progressives”, when referring to these people, should be changed to socialists, communists, or dictators.  Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

This excerpt from Dave Workman’s article captures the essence of what is broken in the state of Washington and other states like California.  These liberal “progressives” are the reason why our rights and freedoms are being chipped away a little at a time.  They are the people that like to believe they are the most tolerant of diversity in our society; yet, they are very quick to discriminate and attack those who disagree with their views and agendas.

“This move also says something about the willingness of Seattle “progressives” to promote social bigotry against the one class of people against whom it is still fashionable to discriminate: gun owners. Gun rights activists are fond of pointing out that if the public accepts this sort of prejudice — the “your kind isn’t welcome here” sort — who is next?”  (http://www.examiner.com/article/gun-free-zone-effort-launched-seattle).

Here's a study from the TX DPS. This shows quite clearly that not only are concealed carriers not dangerous, they're extremely unlikely to commit violent crime.

Listen to the interview (originally posted by huntnphool).

Then, as law-abiding gun owners, consider sending your respectful comments to Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn.
