I can't find anything in COSTCO's website that says guns are prohibited. I carry in there all the time. Can you show me anything that prohibits guns in COSTCO? Thanks.
Its buried deep on a third-party website.
" Personal Firearms/Guns In Costco Stores

Costco Wholesale is a membership-only warehouse club. It is not open to the general public. It restricts membership to a limited group of qualified individuals who agree to membership conditions. We have the right and the obligation to our members, to enact and enforce membership rules. The Member Service Employees at the exit doors are obliged to follow these rules. By obtaining a Costco membership card, our members agree to comply with the Membership Rules and the Privileges and Conditions of membership.

Costco does not believe that it is necessary for firearms to be brought into its warehouse stores, except in the case of authorized law enforcement officers. For the protection of all our members and employees, we feel this is a reasonable and prudent precaution to ensure a pleasant shopping experience and safe workplace. Our policy is meant to protect our members and employees in all warehouses around the world. This is not a new policy and we do not customize the policy for each individual city/county/state/country where we do business.

Our primary goal at Costco Wholesale is to keep our members happy. If you believe that our policy restricting members from bringing firearms into our warehouse stores is either unfair or excessively burdensome, or you cannot agree to abide by this policy, or you are dissatisfied for any other reason, Costco will promptly refund your annual membership fee in full." http://mashbang.wordpress.com/2012/12/02/costcos-hidden-no-firearm-policy/

The news this morning was showing a large group in the Seattle area that are jumping on board to create a gun free zone.  Hopefully them don't all follow Oregon's new stance of making all cities gun free zones.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Why does everyone jump on buffalo wild wings it is a bar and last I checked state law prohibits carrying in a bar, cafe-racer is also a bar so it would be a crime to carry there rendering there policies against it moot.

This is not entirely correct. BWW also has a restaurant portion, which is not covered by the state law ban.

The movie theaters in the Spokane Valley too. They wouldn't allow us to enter the theater without searching her bag. I told them to pound sand.....
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Humm
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Costco doesn't want the policy posted. Why? How do they expect their customers to comply (or do they?)

It does seem weird. Maybe they want to leave the concealed carriers alone and just deal with the guns open to view when there's a complaint.  :dunno:

I am told this is how you see it but I can not get to the link through the Costco.com website.

Go to the Costco website
Select “Customer Service” in the upper right corner
Select “Costco Member Questions & Comments”
Select “Warehouse, Business Centers or Membership”
In the pop-up window:
1 – Select “Other” in the dropdown menu
2 – Type in “firearms” in the text box
3 – enter an email address (any address will work it can be a fake one)
Select “Next”
Select the link “Personal Firearms/Guns in Costco Stores“

You are supposed to end up at the link below with the policy.

https://ems02071lb.egain.net/system/selfservice.controller?CONFIGURATION=1005&PARTITION_ID=1&secureFlag=false&TIMEZONE_OFFSET=&CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=2837
When I pass, do not let my wife sell the guns for what I told her they cost.

It's not just businesses that don't allow carry on their premises, but businesses that are actively seeking to end carry/ownership anyplace.  If a bar owner says don't bring it in here because that is the law, I'm cool with that.  If I find out the bar owner is supporting a campaign to end carry or standard cap magazines or AR rifles, I'll work against that bar---they have now identified as part of the enemy.
