Prop's to XXX archery
« on: August 21, 2013, 08:52:43 PM »
If you guys have never been to xxx archery you are missing out. Cory is the man when it comes to working on bows and making strings. I made the long trip today to get setup with my new string and cables. Last year I said what the heck, I will just run the factory string for the year and shoot it out. That was a mistake, I had to let off 2 animals at full draw and re twist my peep to get shots off. Well that won't happen again with the new G string on the anarchy. There is no peep twist with the g string that Cory makes. If you guys are in the market for a new string look up xxx archery.

Thanks again Cory

It would help if Cory could tell us what months he can build the general public strings?

I don't know what that is about :chuckle: Waiting tell last minute wont help. He builds them year round. They stack up about a month or 2 before the Oregon and Washington opener. I had to wait about a month for mine as well. They are just in high demand because they are such high quality strings. Me being a pro hunter has nothing to do with it  :chuckle: But thank you for the compliment :chuckle:

There is a reason I drive 5.5hrs round trip to go to xxx! Cory is one of the best shop owners I know and his strings are amazing.

Cory definitely saved the day for my son last week.  Set up camp Monday afternoon, then set up the target to have a little fun.  Unfortunately, my son just "spaced" nocking an arrow and ended up dry firing.  :bash:  The limbs looked okay, but the cable was shot.  It was too late in day on Monday, so we did a morning hunt on opening day for my other son.  Then, Tuesday afternoon, drove down to Rainier and Cory had a new cable made and put on in about an hour.  After some fine tuning shots, we were back in the hills in time for an evening hunt.  Thanks again Cory!!

Im fortunate enough to live close to XXX.  Corey had this rookie bow hunter fixed up and had time for a lesson (Off Season) when another shop had me screwed up and frustrated.

Always there to help and give pointers.  I made a previous post about my experience.  http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,97659.0/topicseen.html

Thanks Corey!

Last year I drew the multi-season tag and Archery hunted for the first time.  Although I didn't make it happen during the Archery Season, I did hook up during the modern season with my muzzy loader.

I was disappointed that I didn't get the Archery tag filled so I decided to do the Archery deer again this year.  I drew the Multi-season tag again but decided to pass and just Archery hunt.

No question that XXX and Corey were a part of that decision.
