Since I will heading out sept 2-7 will I be able to use my 10/22? Or will it be out since it is not modern firearm season. Got my non toxic steel shells today. Almost ready to roll.Sent from my carrier pigeon using Tapatalk
Grouse all over that area. If you are not seeing them picking up gravel in the morning and evenings look for elder berries. Won't be hard as they are everywhere over there. Get out and spend some time doing circles 40 yards around the berry bushes. Going to be tough with a .22 if they are in the bush. But, sometimes you can get them to flush and then watch where they land. If shooting a grouse out of a tree with a .22 try to line up where the tree makes a safe back drop. Going to be a lot of archers and granola crunchers out there so be careful where those bullets end up.Not necessary to shoot nontox on grouse unless some rule has changed I don't know about. Cheap #7.5 light load target rounds should be plenty good.
