YET Thanks guys!!!762Armo
I the dude does not even have a rod to fish for salmon with, I highly doubt he's ready to experiment with complicated egg cures....
OK- IMO the only serious answer here is hold on a second. If your buddy is serious about taking you fishing with him, he would hopefully be open to either letting you use some of his gear, or at least going to the store(s) with you to make sure you are properly equipped for the type of fishing you will be doing. Seriously- many of the items on your list have so many variables that it is impossible to offer a suggestion without knowing more about what EXACTLY you're going to be doing- and your buddy is the one who can best help with that. Some items- Dick Nites for example- are pretty specific. But even those come in 3 sizes and many finishes/colors. If I had to pic one it would be the #1 in 50/50 brass/chrome.Most of the other items -"salmon plugs" for example - come in dozens of styles and literally hundreds of finishes- many of which have different applications; this makes it very difficult to provide a suggestion unless someone knows the river, the species, even the water conditions, time of day, depth of water etc.Meeting up with your buddy pre-trip and making arrangements to get outfitted based on his advice is the best advice I can give you.

He will bring his own gear, and let me use it, but I also wanted to grab some things myself to play with so it's a bit more fair towards him. Our schedules don't line up in the near future to go together to the store, but I still wanted to go get a couple thigns myself. We're going to be on Skykomish River.
762 Armo ,just come over to my house tonight - and I can tell you what I know and show you what you might need for gear ..... I'm in Renton/Newcastle exit 7 or 9 of I-405 not tto far from Coalcreek .....
Skykomish system coho are not the best biters so don't get discouraged if you aren't having much success. A pink hoochie on a 1/4oz jig head will beat up on humpies though. Don't over look 1/4oz kastmasters in green and blue, reeled slow so they wobble back and fourth not spin.
Lets get real here. Youtube search flossing river salmon. Save your money.
A little bit of success this weekend.
Quote from: 762Armo on September 03, 2013, 11:09:24 AMA little bit of success this weekend. Nice! Bleed your fish after landing by ripping the gills. This will get the blood out of thoses eggs. Bloody eggs rot fast and dont taste as good to the fishies.

Ewwwww....You dont need to gut them right away, just bleed them. If your going to fillet them, its way easier with the guts in still! Should I gut it right away as well, Or is it ok to just rip the gills out and let it sit there while I continue to fish? And I just fried up those eggs and ate them up. Couple of my friends thought I was weird, but I like them. Now that I have the first out of the way, I'll save the next batch for bait.
LOL. You guys are funny.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caviar
