now how to get apples for cheap?

You can get lots of apples by asking to pick the  up out of peoples yards. Ask if you can leave a bucket and often they will pick them up for you.

bating will bring deer into that area..so yes do it... my buddy hunts blacktails and baits year round.... its amazing how many new deer show up... bating and a cam is the best way to really figure out what is in the area... its deadly in the rut... bring in the girls.... the big boys come in....

I just keep an eye out for apple trees around town. My last couple loads were from a vacant lot with 3 crab apple trees.  I also managed to get 6 bee stings in the process.  I'm getting tons of pics but not sure where all the bucks I had on cam early in the year went.  They will be back sooner of later

its never rude to ask anyone for apples or hunting permission, just be courteous and if they say no, just thank them for their time and move on. it never hurts to ask. if they don't like it its on them not you.

I use salt blocks, peanut butter and creamed corn.  I have a lot of deer and elk come in.  The only down side is sometimes bear will come into the peanut butter also.

im sure pears will work.  Ive been dumping carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, squash anything I can get really along with the apples salt and game block.  Its all getting chowed down

sweet cob/wet cob mix works like crazy too.  it will attract bears though
