Marlin 1895 and Buffalo Bore ammo
« on: September 09, 2013, 09:44:43 PM »
I had 2 out of 6 rounds fail to fire tonight from a brand new box when I was checking the sight zero. A few weeks ago, I had the same thing happen from a box from the year before and thought it was just a fluke. I emailed BufBore and they said that it was my model of rifle and tacked on this link:

I have used a couple of other brands that are a lot less expensive with no issues. Just a FYI for the other folks out there with Guide rifles. :'(

I had the same problem with my .444. Perfect primer strikes etc. I pulled the bullets and re-loaded with new primers and powder and had no problems after that.

I'm very happy to say that Tim at Buffalo Bore told me about a super cheap fix  to the problem and the rifle's ready to pop the toughest primers. no more "click"!

I put a #6 stainless steel washer on the guide rod with the mainspring. It compresses the mainspring a little more, thus making it a little more powerful.
