daughters first trip
« on: September 08, 2013, 04:41:40 PM »
This was my daughters first trip for archery deer. We hunted just above fish lake friday thru this morning. Not many deer but the few we saw were very nice legal bucks . The biggest was a 5x6 we hunted him all day ending up with a 66 yard shot we watched him walk away. On our way off the ridge she got a shot at a big doe forty yards down hill quartered away.. waited to see what she was going to do and after a couple minutes at full draw she decided to let her wwalk. I asked her why and she said I wanna clean kill and that was to much of a risk very proud daddy right now her ethics have shown this weekend. Saw a few turkeys and wore holes in our heels time for new boots thanks for reading

The best times hunting with the kids.  Teaching her right.  I miss hunting with mine but I think in a few years they will be back at it!
