WDFW is put in a tough spot again.  I wonder how they will try to please everybody this time.  :dunno:

I am glad they didn't manage the herd by asking the Legislature for permission; the State Rep seems bent out of shape about that.

I can understand the farmer's frustration, though.   They've been farming for x amount of years with no elk, and then WDFW imports some elk and the farmer's profits are getting eaten up by elk.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

10 elk do more damage to crops than a 100 deer

Why not increase special permits for all user groups and have the WDFW manage it closer? Sorry if I sound naive, but if they really want to reduce the numbers and help the farmers that is one tool they can use and make quite a few hunters happy  :twocents:

I say relocate the remaining member of the lookout pack.

:yeah:  also it's not my problem since whole Rancher wouldn't let any hunters get permission to go on their property to shoot Elk during hunting season.  I have asked and asked hundreds hundreds land owner and only give me two permission to hunt out of 500 landowner in 25 years Since once I shot a Bull in 2011, 25 911's called and GW heard dispatch and rushed in to me and two police and 30 people who stand outside of fence yelling angry at me just because I had a permission to shoot a Bull.   GW gave me a big five and run all my license and tag then he left.   All neighorhood still angry at me for last two half years.  What's their problem!  Now again problem today with over population elk is because all Wetside big f baby who crying over stupid elk and not want elk to be killed. Well get used to it and let hunter be part of it. Again this weekend I am going help owner and guys to shoot more Elk....  Screw Seattle cry baby people! They will never learn from it.  I am expecting more than  50 of 911's calls this coming weekend.   :chuckle:   :sry:

Our problem her in the Skagit Valley is permit hunting only, and the elk are not afraid of humans and reside in the valley year around destroying crops, and causing traffic accidents.
