My Tucannon bull
« on: September 22, 2013, 08:50:25 AM »
Well I connected on a decent 6x6 this year, wasn't the bull if my dreams but I don't regret it.  About 8 a.m. our crew (dad, brother, uncle, and good friend chuck) worked our way down a ridge bugling looking for a hot bull.  When suddenly a bull bugled at 100 yards!  Dad and I both have big bull tags slipped ahead 20 yards or so and set up, while the callers moved back 50 yards.  Few cow calls later this bull is screaming and coming in.  As his horn tips crest the hill 40 yards in front of me I came to full draw.  Now the bull is walking head at 20 yards and stops looking right over my head.  After holding draw for what seemed like forever he turned to my left side.  At 11 yards I mewed and he stopped slightly quartering to me.  I tucked my pin as tight to his shoulder bone as possible and let the bowtech experience eat!  The carbon exspress maxima hunter shuttle T combo passed clean through.  Bull turned and ran, crew cow called frantically as the bull disappeared.  After a tense 45 min wait I snuck to the edge of the ridge wear I last seen him, and there he layed 80 yards from where I shot him.  Had a great time can't thank all the guys enough for the help!  Dad didn't fill his tag just couldn't get a big enough one in front of him.  It was defiantly a tough year in the blues with the heat, and unfortunately it seemed all the tag holders were camped around us :/.  But that's how it goes.

Great bull, congrats. Can't beat a great time with family and friends along with a successful hunt.
