I hate spinach.... until...

I have HATED spinach my whole life, it to me was like slippery old lawn clippings.

not any more, now I LOVE it. one way. my wife has a small rice cooker. well, she fills it with rice and water. then adds a bunch of spinach from our aquaponic system, and lets it cook. I will say its off the charts. you must try even if like me you hate spinach. take it out add a little butter and DAYUM!!

man I'll tell you, for a $9 rice cooker from wally world, it makes an amazing meal like this. try it and let me know if its just me, but its GOOD, after years of my mom trying to cram it down my throat with claims of becoming Popeye, I finally found a way I like it  especially a long day of being wet, cold, miserable, it hots the spot

I make a Thai meal that starts with rice, then a bed of raw spinach, top spinach with a mix of chicken and peanut sauce.    Great meal...

Wow!  I just ate and after reading that I'm hungry all over again.    I assume you are using Jasmine/Sweet rice in that, aren't you?

Wilted spinach salad, yum.  We just had a raw spinach salad for dinner, nothing slimy about that.  Good stuff.

this is said wife..... I cook the chicken flavored rice in the rice cooker (I dont follow the directions on package to brown it in butter first. I add the amount of water and butter and cook it) and add canned spinach then cook. I've done it with beef flavored rice too. Its the only way to get the hubs to eat it.

Instead of adding water for your rice.  Use chicken stock.  That will make Chicken flavored rice.

add whole peanuts - I love the crunch in dishes like this.

I got a bag the kids know to stay out of, they're cookin peanuts.


Also like me some curry paste in a dish like this.  I was on a thai kick for ahwile
