Any idea where to hunt in the Longview area/toutle area
« on: September 29, 2013, 06:41:59 PM »
Hi this is my second year hunting. iv hunted last year at the 550 gmu on weyerhaeuser land. I had some luck but wasn't very big. Does anyone know where i might have some luck with a bigger buck. I would like to stay kinda close to Longview.

There's really not much difference between the Coweeman unit and the Toutle. They're both mostly owned by Weyerhaeuser and they're both mostly logged over land with not much timber. If you already know Coweeman, I'd suggest sticking with it. There's  bound to be some bigger bucks in the same area you hunted last year. You just need to hold off and not shoot a smaller buck first.
