A good place to plink during hunting season
« on: October 03, 2013, 03:58:38 PM »
I have a buddy that wants to buy a gun on the 12th of October, however he doesn't feel comfortable buying it unless he test fires it.
It looks like thats during deer season so i was wonder if there are any good places to plink during this time. we are located in vancouver WA and we go up to larch and up near the canyon creek campground often. Im just not sure if there is much hunting near those areas and figured id try to ask and not be rude to people hunting.

I would advise going to a local gun range as I personally know how irritating it is when someone is just shooting off rounds when you are hunting. Last day of the season last year someone started unloading while I was sitting on a clear cut. Sooooo frustrating. But in the end public land is just that, public. I would suggest thinking of your fellow hunters and take it to the range.
