Chehalis Valley Duck Clubs?
« on: September 30, 2013, 06:22:38 PM »
I recently moved to Rainier and am looking to get involved with either a club or lease some property with a couple other hunters. I did some internet searches and Cedarville comes up as one of the clubs along with Bob Smith at Lincoln Creek. Bob said he closed up shop last hunting season and another guy acquired some of the properties etc. Jorgenson was the name he mentioned. Any help with club names or numbers would be greatly appreciated or if your interested in leasing some property together or have property for lease, I would definitely be interested. Grew up hunting in the Whatcom County area and have plenty of decoys, lay out blinds etc. Thanks

Good to know lincoln creek shut down. I live in that valley. Maybe now I can get access at a fair rate. 1800+ to be able to hunt 3 days a week and have to be out by noon, I call that a rip off.

I was a member at Cedarville farms for a year but got married, tighter budget...just couldn't swing it. They have three hunt days a week, W, Sa, Su, a membership gets you one of those days.

So you don't hunt often but no one works harder at keeping you on birds than Jon. He is a great guy, runs a great club and has some AWESOME properties.  Its safe, fun, quality...etc. Very well managed. You never have to fight for a certain blind or property because only a couple guys hunting on each day. They have been hammering the geese the past few years. If it was slow, and not a lot of birds on the properties, Jon would run us out on the salt in his sled and we would hunt sea ducks. He really went out of his way to make it happen.

Some of the members don't hunt very often so you can take their spots on different days.

If you are wanting to hunt 75 days its not the place to go. But if you want fewer but high quality outings I would really consider it. It is a small club though, they might not even have openings.

Good luck.
what in the wild wild world of sports???
