Whats this animal?
« on: October 05, 2013, 03:56:43 AM »
I keep debating with myself. Cougar? Coyote? Its unlikely to be a dog, its miles and miles from any house but I guess ya never know. The second pic is just an ear, best guess at that one? the tip of a deers ear?

It looks like a coyote taking a dump.

How high is your camera off the ground?  I am leaning towards a deer.  Look at the hair.  More consistent with wet deer.

Camera is between 4 and 5 feet high. It had been dry and hot for a week or so before this pic. And his ears at the bottom of the pic to me didn't look like deer

.02 your camera is too high. I think it's a cougar popping a squat.

You can see ears in the first picture. Looks like a cat or a deer with its head down. Too hard to determine 100%.

:yeah: That's a kitty alright looks like it may have pounced on something or holding something down. You can see it's ears and those are it's inner hind quarters kinda splayed out. Would have been cool if he gave a close up mug shot.
