Ruger M77 ?
« on: October 29, 2008, 06:13:02 PM »
I have a guy that wants to trade me a Ruger M77 MarkII 270 with very nice wide grain wood stock with a leupold II 3-9x40 scope. Any idea what they are worth and are they any good. He wants my Howa 243 for his daughter.

Does it have the tang safety or the newer version? I have several M77's and love them.

I have several M77 rifles. I retrigger the new models and also bed them. They have a stiffer action than Remingtons.

Cat, IMO That gun wil probably end up selling for around 400 to 450, the scope's about what you said if you bought it separately.

Huntnphool, Yes I restock and bed my own, in fact I just finished a M77 .243 vt with a boyds stock, basik trigger and I used Acraglas. It's going to be my longer range coyote gun. I would be happy to answer any questions about it.

Hey Phool, if you need that work done to a Ruger I know a guy who can hook you up. He's building me a stock right now but he is almost done.
