PHOTO OF THE MONTH CONTEST  November 2008
Please enter your favorite photo into our photo of the month contest.

Novembers  Theme....Field photos  remember preference goes towards Washington and hunting and fishing.

The photo must have been taken by the entrant, but there is NO time limit set to how long ago the picture was taken. If the category happens to include field photos, they can be taken by someone else as long as it is of the entrant themselves.)- The photo must pertain to hunting or fishing or the outdoors in some fashion and it must match with the current months theme.
-Photo size MUST be 800x600 pixels or LESS  Most violated rule
-2 entries per contestant are allowed per month. If more than 2 entries are submitted the first two elegible ones will be the ones accepted for the contest.
-Entries must be submitted by midnite of the 26th of the current month in order to qualify for that Months contest.
-Photos of Washington material will receive preference in judging as the winner will be posted on the front of a Washington site. Though I am thinking a good Montana or Idaho bull will do this month.
-Previous Photo of the month entries will not be eligible for this months contest
-The winner of the previous months contest is not eligible for the next months contest.
-Entries will be accepted or rejected as is, meaning the judges will no longer enhance, or alter images. Resizing is legal if you can talk a moderator into doing it for you.
- Entries from previous months contests will not be accepted for the contest
The photos will be evaluated by a panel of Judges made up of  all the moderators.  The winner (NO TIES) will be announced as soon as we come to a majority decision.

The Winner will have their photo posted on the front page ( I need to confirm if there will be another hat or not this month.)

Remember to be thinking ahead of next months contest!!!   Winter scenes.

Could anyone crop it to 800 x 600? I can't figure out how to do that?

Nice pic Gobble, I'm waiting to see what kind of pic I get this month, lots of hunting still to do.

I'm not sure if you would consider this a true "Field Photo" but it is one of my favorites.

My 3 year old son was heartbroken that he wasn't a "big enough boy" to go deer hunting so I came up with a solution. I set up a small target course behind our house, dressed him up in his "huntin' clothes", and told him if he completed the course with his brother's pellet gun he would "earn his buck". Well, he did GREAT and now proudly displays his buck as it hangs over his bed. I took the photo after he completed the course.

I told him that it's the new "World Record Jackalope"!

I forgot to enter my photos for last month.  Since I haven't killed anything I won't have any to enter for this month.  Guess I'll have to enter December...

what the heck is going on here? did i make someone mad?
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
