Have you tried hunting between 11am and 2 pm ...?   If it is freezing at night they are moving in the afternoon when everyone thinks they are not !
I seem 12 deer yesterday in this time frame ...2 nice bucks ..did not work out So a doe had to take a dirt nap !  :chuckle:
Congrats on the meat! Didn't try afternoon during this cold! My blood turned to ice before that! Lol. But yes normally I man my stand daylight to dark.

Almost got mine today 25 yards in the wide open. Looked back, I went to draw, she caught me with the opposing sides eye and got spooked. Went about 40 yards behind some brush and snorted and stomped her lil heart out. Ill get her next week. "Fingers crossed"

I like to still hunt areas more than sitting all day. Seems more successful for me.

how long do you typically wait after you find a good spot to settle?
Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake

Genius and Insanity are neighbors, and they often share sugar.

I usually get in there a couple hours before daylight.

If it's not working change things up, still hunt, sit in a different place, try different times, whatever it takes. Having only one stand location or strategy is an advantage for the deer. Staying out of your camera/stand area for a few days could help get the deer back during the daylight. Good luck and stick with it!
