Whatever your plans are please be safe, especially for us tree stand hunters. I read stories like this occasionally and they are just heart breaking.

Heading to MT on Thursday to chase Rutting Mulies for a few days
Then Cowiche or Nile for late archery elk. Oh, I still have an Entiat archery Doe tag to fill too, unless I find a WA buck first.

Hoping to get the big 4 point blacktail down here in Western Oregon during the second season. Probably won't. Even the spikes are smarter than me.

Here are a couple of Oregon bucks my wife and I will be targeting. I am targeting the big Non-Typical and she would be happy with either of the other bucks. One is a fork with an eye guard and the other is a crab claw 3 on one side and fork on the other.

Truck and utility trailer are loaded with most of my camp. Bow is shooting broadheads and field points together in the bull out to 50yds. I'm ready and anxious. Nile - here I come.
D Rock, still waiting to hear from ya ol buddy. Check out that Google map I sent ya.
