Rob Was driving and it was waids buck we were trying to cut off and keep him up on the hill for him! If I had not been there to see it with my own eye's I wouldn't believe it... that buck was pulling away from us at 40 mph and we kept with him at 50!!! that's when he had enough and without slowing he cut on a dime and went right behind the truck and didn't stop for another 3/4 mile until he picked up some doe's and ran another buck off ...  Amazing!!!

That's what's cool about hunting a quality area especially in the rut. You get to see deer behavior that you normally wouldn't and witness what amazing animals they really are. Especially those big bucks!

I saw rougheyes, he does need to post them.

Here are a few more shots. Mark found the rock while looking for his buck. There are names and initials carved into it dating clear back to 1928. Of course we had to add ours to the list.

Unless you are hooked up with a landowner tag I would plan on going maybe the following year. ;)

Awesome pictures.  Way to go Mark.  I love the sunset pictures and the drag pictures.  They really tell a good story.

The deer pictures were great . The pictures of the sky and story of the rock make it special. If you have;nt had the chance to see the big sky in montana it;s worth the trip to see how fast it changes and how beautiful it can be.
