Straight Camera....400mm lens.  I used a 2x and the 1.5 on the rutting 3 at the end.   The mirage (heat rising) was so bad it kept going out of focus.  I finally just worked my way closer, but the doe spooked and then the herd, and where they went I wasn't going.

What camera and lens are u using? I have the Canon EOS Rebel T3I. I need to get a different lens for it. Any suggestions?
