More pheasants!
« on: October 31, 2013, 02:02:32 PM »
Maybe the weather had something to do with it but I saw way more birds today than in several years. At least 40 with over half roosters. I got my limit in a short time. I'd post pics but they landed in or across a creek and they don't look good wet. I was just south of Spokane.

I'm glad to hear you are doing well. I live just South of Spokane and my usual coverts are devoid of birds. Even a couple trips to some areas near St. John resulted in only one 150 yard rooster flush. I guess I need to branch out even more. :dunno:

Continued good luck.

I used to hunt right at Rockford, just down the RR tracks on the other side of 27. There used to be a road that might have been turned into a driveway. There are a couple draws that go to the south of the tracks where we frequently found pheasants, huns, and quail. You should try to find the owner there. I have so many spots I just let some slip away. That spot was so close to Spokane I wish I was still using it.
