If you are a big time Jeeper and off-roader than a WARN is what you want. They are the best. But that said you probably don't need one. Costco has been selling a nice winch for around $350 or so that will do all you ever will need. 1/3 the cost of a Warn. harbor Freight also has cheaper ones that will fit the bill. Like I say, nothing beats a WARN but for the uses that you are talking about why spend the money. Like buying the most expensive chain saw to cut down a small tree in your back yard. If you are a pro logger than have at it but the small Walmart saw will do the job. By the way I have a WARN myself and it is awesome.
