Thanks for all your comments everyone. It is fun to go home at night and share them with him. It's the 1st thing he wants to look at when I get home. Your comments here and your stories in other threads help to generate excitement in a new generation of young hunters. Also many of the ethical issues brought up in the forums open up great topics for him and I to discuss. He wants to do hunters ed for next year and I have told him I think he is ready and will take it with him as I'm sure I'll learn a thing or two or ten. We frequently walk our property looking for rabbits & squirrels and talk safety & ethics. He's a very cautious & thoughtful hunter. He is a pretty steady shot with both rifle and bow. As many of the fathers who have younger children have said, they can't wait to share memories like this. I will tell you it is exciting and gratifying to watch and be part of boy wanting to learn to become a hunter and outdoorsman. Now enough of the sentimental stuff let's see more big bucks!
Nice buck...where abouts did you get him?
