My brother and I are thinking about headed to this area, specifically iep for this weekend. We are coming from the wetside and want to know if it is worth it. We are just trying to get our first big game kill.

I would say no. We were there last weekend looking for moose. I've never seen so many hunters concentrated in one place before. 99% of them were driving the roads. We did see two deer and both were bucks. I personally would head further north and find some national forest.

If your coming this weekend expect it to be ugly,3-9 inches of snow in the valleys, 9-19 in the montains is the forecast. 124 has been getting a lot of pressure since 117/121 went to 4 point areas. Also know where your going, I have never had such a issue with people road hunting my driveway as this year. but if you can get away from the sea of orange there are still bucks to be found.

Thanks for the info.  I'm thinking of heading that way Saturday as a last attempt to fill my tag. .. But I'll have to consider the snow.  I've been looking at maps wondering how pressured that area is.    I spent the entire early season in the sea of orange. Not looking forward to another day like that.

Just hit the iep land today.  Only two other vehicles there, but the roads are getting pretty bad.  Some areas with almost a foot of snow.  We entered from the top, state park area.  Didn't see any deer at all, very little sign of deer as well.  But did see four moose and on the way out, scored a grouse and a snowshoe.  No deer for me this year.  Crappy cell phone pics, I know.  The four moose were all antlered.  Two small, young ones and the other two were just a little bigger.  No monsters.  But there is moose sign everywhere.
Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Just came out of the same entrance to iep. I saw four moose as well. I only saw one antlered though. I saw two beautiful three pointers, on state park lol. The rest were doe and the one spoke that got away from me.
