Great day on the trapline! My fox snares are doing better on lynx and wolverines this yr than fox. Got a beautiful lynx with WHITE TOES today in a blind trail set!!! Besides that it was stupid cold out. Waist deep snow and high winds 20-30 mph with a temp of -15 without wind chill 😜. Glad robe home ready for some hot coffee.

Fun Christmas morning made a couple cat cubbies and got a couple cool Christmas presents.

that lynx and wolverine are just flat awesome  looks a bit cold thats for sure, how long will you useally stay out on a line when its that cold? do you run one line a day or are they set up on like a two or 3 day rotation? looks like fun but i know its alot of work. how many hours a day do you have to put up fur?

I'm running three lines right now as of yesterday it was two just got a great area today. I'm going to pull most of my other two except the bust pile and focus only new one, a lot more sign!!! Lynx and fox. I only check my lines once a week usually no legal check time in AK and it's cold!!! Animals are little bricks when I get them. I use 99% snares or conibears. Most of my sets are snare pens, I'll put a pic of one below. I stay outside all day if it's above -20. When it gets below the to actually wear a coat and stay out no more than 2-3 hrs. As for fur prep I have a young kid at my school that I pay to skin. He grew up in the bush and is better and faster than me! Here are a few pics from today's line.

quite the life for sure, especially when the wife and kid enjoy it to  damn i can barely get my wife off the couch, well if there is a special sale at the mall, then look the hell out, come to think of it, my daughter is that way to  hey teacherman what is it with the c.d hanging in the tree? is it just an eye catcher kinda like a pie plate or grouse wing?

the cd acts as a long distance attractor then bait or lure that will get them to the trap after they come to investigate.  The pie plates, grouse wings etc do the same thing.
