You guys remember this guy.   I thought his might be from the bullet hitting his antler.   Wondering what the cause is?

I remember that buck huge massive body. You have a pretty cool pic from last year of him on the side hill facing towards you. I don't know if that would have caused the ear thing. We have a few running around here that are like that as well.

I know in dogs it can happen from a ruptured blood vessel and it causes droop ear if not properly cleaned and bandaged.  :dunno: Maybe something like that in deer from fighting or scratching?

Might be a stroke. Look at the eye on the same side.

Not going to respond to old limp things but can someone show an old whitetail with both ears down.  I have seen a few, never with a camera

I've seen a lot of does with this issue.. fewer bucks. Perhaps something to do with the ear getting cold weather damage? I asked the local biologists a few years back and they said they didn't know.
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

We used to have one old doe we called Donkey Doe, both ears were like that.  We never saw her with either ear up, even when looking at us.
