Mine went to peters taxidermy as well, hope they come out good as ive got a BT buck there as well

Right on! I am jealous. My only two woodies were hens... It was first light, and my first year and  I couldn't identify in air like I can now.

You won't be disappointed with there quality. As far as chances go I could have shot a hen 2 weeks ago but let my buddy shoot first because I wanted my first wood duck to be a drake. This time I shot the drake and hesitated on the hen and she flew to live another day.

I've not ever brought down a woodie either and it's on top of my list... just need to figure out a place near Yakima to drop the boat in.

Great looking bird - too bad it didn't have any jewelry!

Congrats in your first wood duck! They are definitely a gorgeous bird! Tons I them in my area. If I hunter sits in the right spot he could easily get a limit full of drakes down here
