Nice buck Bobcat, like the double throat patch and monster eye guards.

Thats a sweet buck Bobcat.  I swear there is something genetic about weak backs and HUGE eyeguards in that area.  Did you have hime mounted, that is a nice cape with the double throat.

Yes I did have him mounted. I have a picture of the mount, if I can find it I'll post it. Yeah those short back tines didn't help the score any that's for sure. I had him scored in Puyallup and it was just over 162. I guess a lot of guys wouldn't have shot him because of the weak backs, but he was good enough for me.

AWESOME!  I didn't notice all of those little kickers in your field shots.  Again, sweet looking buck.  Those eyeguards are awesome.

I encourage anyone who wants to see bucks like this to try and pull an Entiat tag.  I saw close to 30 bucks and 100+ does in 2005.  Lots of venison hanging!

The Bear's Den. I dropped it off there about November 10th, and had it back a couple days before christmas.

Isn't that where you took your spring bear? Does that guy do all his work? I have heard rumors that he ships alot of it out.

Great buck, congrats!!  All kinds of character.
I think that the Bear's Den farms out all of their european mounts and a lot of their smaller game and bird mounts.  I could be wrong but that is what I have heard.  A lot of the better taxidermists dont have time to mess with the little stuff and The Bear's Den is probably one of them.

Wow.....great buck!  An even sweeter lookin' mount!  Can't believe you got it back in little over a month.  I didn't think that was possible.  :dunno:  Congrats to ya.

I didn't either! Only problem is it still smelled for a while, it had that "chemical" smell, from the tanning process I guess. But it was nice not having to wait a year, or more, to get it back, like I hear is the case with many taxidermists.

Yeah, 2004 they did really well in the general season, just before my permit hunt started on November 1st. It seems like 2015 just might have been better than 2004 though, from what I've heard.
