« on: December 01, 2013, 03:21:54 PM »
Curious if anyone knows how the hunts went in the shed this year (westside shed). I will check with a friend that works in there, but just seeing if there are any pic's??

I would love to see some pictures.  I have put in for years and never been drawn for this tag.  Has to be some monsters in there...

There are some big bulls and bucks in that unit, I wish they had a rut elk tag for rifle! Been some pig blacktails killed but seems they are kept quiet. The big bulls are tougher to find during the current times that the tags are for.

Talked to a friend that works in the shed.  Not a great year for big animals, the mucks killed 6 bulls, two good ones. One bull was around 340, they killed 6 or 7 deer.  The non natives killed 5 bulls and 11 deer, two deer were around mid 120's.  both native bio's and shed workers think the deer numbers are down a bit, I might wait a while to apply.  Sorry no pics

My neighbor of 25 years is the head honcho in there. He told me the Mucks took a couple of dandy's and screwed themselves with a early deer hunt. The fog we had for a week left them with 70 degree weather up there.  He has a pic of 15 monster bulls crossing the green at one time in full stride. I took a few out of there in the early days.
