Mostly private land in Kelly Hill area 105.  Some state land but it is hunted hard.  Forest Service land up higher but most of the whitetail hang out at lower elevations on the private property.  Maybe you can get lucky and get permission to hunt but my experience there is that most landowners in that area are not all that friendly.  Good Luck

Not a very good place to go if your not familiar with the area.  If you don't know someone there you're better off in another unit.  Might want to Google Kelly Hill for some history

I will be hunting there also this weekend. IF you don't have permission there it is really hard. If I didn't have permission I would start above Pierre Lake. Careful not to shoot a mule deer.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

I just spent 8 days at the fishermans cove resort at curlew lake during general firearms season and passed on a spike whitetail and three small but legal mule deer in the Sherman unit . The only other unit open 124 Spokane mountain and by the look of my DNR maps its seems there is more public land in 105 .

GMU 105-124 are open.  That little '-' means through not and.  Don't mean to be blunt, but if you only hunted 105 and 124 you missed a lot of open land during your 8 days...
