Coyote Madness Fall 08 - Winter 09
« on: November 06, 2008, 08:54:38 PM »
Who wants another competetion?  I was dreaming about this today while wandering around int he fog.  We joked about it earlier, but I am ready.
Here's how it works....
Since there is no money involved and its just healthy competetion, and more for fun thatn anything, I will be the sole judge and jury so if there is a problem, contact me.
It will run from Nov1 thru April 30th
Scoring will be as follows....

A coyote kill with a rifle(modern...including shotgun) is 1 point
A coyote kill with a Muzzelloader or compound bow is 5 points
A coyote killed with Trad gear (longbow, recurve, Flintlock) 10pts
A photo of a coyote that is not killed is worth 1/2 point.

Kids 14 and under and oldtimers 65 and older get double points.

A photo of the kill will be very much appreciated but at this point NOT an absolute requirement.

Teams.....
So far it is the Hunting Washington.com Pro staff(moderators/admins and family).  versus the Forum members.  You guys can form individual teams if you wish.  Let me know, such as the Moses lake lights out boys, or the Polarbear express.....Family members (first line like AK rules....brother, daughter, father etc. ) can be members of the team, specia=fically for the prostaff team, as anyone can be on other teams.  In other words Idabooner, and Lil bone or Robs daughter (his choice on WF70) can be on our team.....

Family member has to be a member on this forum in order to be part of the team.

Post a pic of your kill or your success on here and I'll keep tabs on the running score.

This is just for fun.  If no one is interested or have other modifications or input, let me know.

Well Sisu is close to me, but we can't team up?

I am in.  I will give it a try.  I'm hopefully going to go out on Monday morning, weather permitting, and going to try and put a dog or two down.  We have rain lined up for the next few days though.  Does anyone on here call in the rain and have decent success?

Deaddog, if you see this, maybe we can team up?  I don't have too many opportunities to go out, but I try to get out once every two weeks or so from now until March.

Jeez Bone, Start a contest when you've already got a running tally. Is that called a handicap? :chuckle:

Coyotes were moving EVERYWHERE today.  I saw more sets of tracks than deer.  Not kidding, so I'd guess that would be a yes to your question.

Sorry Grizz.  He's on my team, but you cna still go hunt with him...just let him shoot.   :chuckle:

Heck ya.    I figure ten against 2,000 isn't real bad odds at this point.

So it's quick draw too? He who shoots first gets the point?
