Who's hunting elk in the Watt in December?
« on: December 07, 2013, 01:08:47 PM »
So I've been spending some time driving roads, primarily up the Hutchison road and Watt canyon. Everytime I go up, I run into native american's hunting, and cleaning deer &elk, along with countless gut piles from elk and deer which they have been killing. Which tribe has hunting rights here? I didn't know they could hunt up there  :dunno:  I'm not trying to make anybody mad, I just want to know who/what tribe has the rights to be hunting up there.

The Yakamas. And I believe the Muckelshoots have been hunting over there but whether they actually have the right to do so is up for debate.

It's called poaching with immunity.
Not hunting.

Not trying to get anybody mad :dunno: :bash: Good luck with that! I've been trying to forget about all the countless elk hides and gut pile I saw along near there last December, absolutely sickening. No wonder there is so much other poaching happening when this sort of un fairness is going on :twocents:

Exactly. All this b.s. is heresay unless there is pictures or proof of it.  Native Americans have every right to be hunting.

Why do we need proof? We know it's happening. And we know they have the right to do it, even if we know it's wrong.

I don't have any native friends so I don't need to kiss any azz, it's a hot topic, always will be!  Just because its their right doesn't make it right!  It's wrong and always will be.

Area has been been closed since the 2nd. So when were you spending time driving these roads?

I know some guys on here are bitter and love to spread and create drama we all know who they are.I believe the area is open til the 15th like the other designated feeding areas?  Either way you dodon't hear me complaining about the other legal hunters hunting in legal areas do you????  Maybe we should do as some suggest on here and close all hunting after modern?  Oh nope camt do that because that wouldn't be fair......I don't always agree with some of our tribal members methods or style of "hunting" but as long as their doing it legal I'm not going to fret about it.

Now mucks or any other tribe attempting in this area is another story...........

  • I love my gun rights in Arizona..
It's been going on way before some of you youngsters were born and even me. I notice that the, " whites " still have good hunting. The crappy hunting for the " white man " in this state is because of the liberal, anti hunting WDFW. Plain and simple.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
