« on: December 13, 2013, 04:41:21 PM »
Are there every any turkey calling contests in WA, ID, or OR?  I did a quick google search, but did not see anything.  Thanks for the info!

Cabela's has them from time to time.  I think it is usually before the spring seasons.

State NWTF Chapter has had some but sporadic at best. I would check the national site for postings about contests wiyth the NWTF.

Cabelas in Olympia and also Tulalip have them as mentioned ... don't know about other Cabelas (I use to MC them and won the only one I entered).

The NWTF site is dependent on the contest being sanctioned and the contest coordinators being on the ball enough to have it advertised, so it is not always updated.  There is a guy in MN that runs a website called callingallturkeys.com that has a decent calendar, but the site has only been open for a year or so and did not see any Washington contests from the past year.  There was one in Boise and somewhere in OR.  But hey, thanks for the info!

Cabelas -Tulalip had one last year, and the Olympia store for about six years in a row (but not last year due to a new event coordinator) ....
