where to find westside sounds

I'm looking to get some new sounds for my foxpro. Does anyone know where I can get some westside sounds such as blacktail fawn distress, calf elk distress, cougar in heat etc.?

My cat sounds are from cat families from the west slope of the Cascades, OR and WA. (But I have stories of them working from all over!)

Blacktail sounds are very rare, I don't know who I've seen with them, but they're NOT common.

I've never seen a call company differentiate between rockies and rosies, I don't know if it's necessary.

hey rainshadow, i came and bought a mouth call from you over there a few years back, when you were working at your hot dog stand, well i was now wondering if you were able to get any bobcat vocals? and also the cougar vocals that come with the fox pro? how do you like those, i have tried listening to your cd and then the fox pro but i have no clue what to listen for to see if they are the same or not.... hey if your ever over hear by graham, i know of a couple spots that have a couple of huge toms, i dlont want to educate them so i have been just using bird distress calls, i called in one bob at night and one during the day, didnt connect on either one and i think i called ina big cat to but not sure. if you were gonna give a novice guy 2 huge pointers aboult predator calling, what would they be... i am so frustrated but i am very determined so i aint giving up, any advice would be greatly appreciated, and my offer will always stand if you want to go huntn for cats

No love from the Bobcats yet. Still trying. I got one sound from a Lynx, but it's so short and quiet, I don't think I can make a sequence out of it. I got the same exact response that I gave to Minaska from the Bobcat with the really bad attitude, I think they called it defensive or something. Just nasty growling, probably won't call anything, but it'd be good for the Halloween doorstep!

Pointers:

#1. Occasionally go to the desert and call coyotes for some trigger time! Cats are extremely low density, so it takes patience and determination, especially with expensive gas! Stick to it, keep trying, when you get frustrated, go to a target rich environment and take out some frustration!

#2. Tedious though it may be, approach every stand with the utmost care. They'll only show themselves if they don't know or suspect you're there. Even after seven dozen dry stands, you still have to get in and set up as if you KNOW a cat is there and you're trying to keep it from hearing or seeing you. Do it right. Call it mental endurance!

I have a FoxPro now, I like it. Top end of the volume range isn't as clear as WT, but WT doesn't have my sounds on it! Minaska was able to be throttled back so it was clear, but it wasn't as loud. None perfect, but I like FP the best. A couple FP cougar tunes are ok. A couple are repellant. I don't remember which was which.

I'm going to buy your cougar sounds rainshadow. I purchased a call and cd a while back. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. My truck doesnt like your cd. It only lets me play the first half then it has some error so I listened to it in the house. I'd like to find blacktail distress sounds and see if they sound much different than whitetail distress. I found a place where i always see cat tracks everytime I hike up in the snow. I plan on doing a weekend hike up there to try a cat hunt which will probably be in january. So I would like as many sounds as possible.

All of the blacktail deer sounds for ecalls that I have found where horrible. I actually prefer FPs goat distress over their bt distress.

thank you rainshadow, i know i dont always approach my stands like you explain but i try, i just gotta fight the frustration bug, patience that will never be a problem because i love blacktail huntn through and through, and we all know the gray ghost shows no love to anyone  :chuckle.. good luck... and remeber if you ever get tired of huntn in the banana belt and staying dry my offer stands

FP has a Blacktail fawn distress sound and  I beleive they have bt doe distress too.   I'll take a look tonight and see what numbers they are.    I used the fawn sound paired with a decoy to call in a bear this September.

Thanks guys. I was unaware foxpro had that many sounds. I shot my first yote saturday while deer hunting. 8 yards with a bow in some dark timber. He heard me and was curious so he came in to check me out and left me a nice broadside shot
