Thats absurd.

Just the fact that you need to drive to your hunting spot, then hike 10 feet or 10 miles makes every person a road hunter. If you are heading out and you are 1/4 mile from your parking spot and see a masher you can bet every single hunter would jam it in park and go for it.
not me rolling stop have your buddy get out you keep driving :chuckle:

We are joking around......Dinker rolled his ankle...rolled it BAD.....when we bailed out to chase a masher....I was the one sleeping in one morning of elk camp.

I still think it is an absurd rule.

"You are unlawfully using a vehicle to take wildlife if you intentionally drive around until you see
the animal you wish to harvest and then make an attempt to take."

Please explain how the enforcement officer would know if someone is intentionally driving around, or unintentionally driving around.

That is how my brother in law got his. We went out, found a deer, killed it.

Bob33.....probably the only way is if they set their beer down and admit it! I'm joking of course because it is simply not enforcable.

Sorry, but that's just stupid. I'd like to know how that could even be enforced.

:yeah: impossible to enforce.  It's already tough to enforce laws and catch criminals

not to mention I am glad so many people road hunt because my favorite areas (.3 - 2 miles offroad) would be hunted a lot harder if those guys couldn't road hunt.

Not to mention, I have "roadhunted" myself before when it comes to learning new areas and hunting early fall bears etc. drive/glass, drive/glass "until I find the animal I want to harvest"  It isn't my #1 or #2 chosen method but I'll be darned if I want it illegal.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Great idea!

I'm sure there are rules in every state that should be looked at.

Better yet, how about looking at a federal standard? Maybe see if the current administration would look at creating a standard that is the same for all States?
I hope you are kidding.... if not.... wow..... not only no but he77 no!
