Great job Scout. I think the kids at school are going to have a tuff time 1 upin that deer. Sounds like a fun hunt, and some quality time with pops. ;)  ;)

Just want to say thanks to all you guys on the nice posts.  Scout's been grinning from ear to ear.  It's seems liitle different these days.  Seems like none (or very few) of the kids at his school are hunters.  I remember as a kid how excited I would be after a good day of duck and goose hunting and heading off to school and share the stories with my buddies and a few teachers.  Don't know if its a local trend here or if he's just starting out younger than most kids.  Either way, if you get the chance, take a youngster out hunting.  It is time well spent; kin or not.  We have a 4 day lowland hunt coming up this weekend, and I went out tonight and spotted a nice little spike on my property.   Hope to get my nephew out there and see if he can get his first deer!!!!

Thats not how it is at my school...

Very nice. He will remember that for the rest of his life. I have been putting in for that hunt yearly. 8 points so far. Maybe someday before I can't hunt anymore. :dunno:

Hey dude I just showed my son your pictures and he got all exited. It is kinda weird that he doesn't have any friends at school that hunt.   I am glad to be able to have this web site so he can relate to other kids.
